Dolly Parton is a country music legend for many reasons, one of them being her philanthropic spirit.
She has done a lot for her Tennessee community, whether it is donating money and resources to help rebuild after natural disasters, donating to music foundations, or helping build a library in lower-income areas.
Now with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic occurring, Parton knew she had to help out where she can.
She just announced that she has donated $1 million to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville to go toward research for a possible cure to coronavirus.
She also encourages all who can to make donations as well.
Parton ended her social media message with one simple reminder "Keep the Faith."
