Hanging with Rob + Holly for the Friday Night Takeover was the ever-enchanting Trisha Yearwood and her husband, Mr. Garth Brooks -- Country music's most beloved couple.

As we anxiously await the release of Garth's new album FUN, which features wife Trisha on the fan-requested duet of the A Star Is Born hit, “Shallow," set to hit shelves and streaming sites on November 20 -- as well as the highly-anticipated 2020 CMAs happening on November 11, and the approaching holidays -- there sure was plenty to talk about with the pair.

Now that Halloween and the election are both behind us (sort of), we're looking forward to celebrating the upcoming holidays -- and so are Garth and Trisha.

Trisha explained how, when she married Garth in 2005, she also made a commitment to his daughters from a previous marriage. "The girls had to marry me too," she says. "And they were young at the time. So the tradition we created around the holidays, since we got married in December, was to decorate the tree together. That just helped me become part of this family," she says.

"Now that the girls are grown and have families of their own, we still don't decorate our tree until we get all three girls together. I think it's become as important to them as it is to us."

Garth says he's got a surprise waiting for the girls this year. "They don't know it yet so keep this between us," he says jokingly. "We got some replicas of the ones that they picked out as babies and now they're like six foot, they're gonna be out on the lawn as they come in. So, it's gonna be a fun Christmas!"

Of course, it's all fun and games until the food is ready -- then, it's all business. But some foods can have a strange effect, as Trisha can attest. After Rob told a story about a dream that he had revolving around Garth and Karate, Trisha asked if he happened to have pepperoni pizza before he went to sleep.

"That always gives me whacked out dreams," Trisha says, laughing. "Pepperoni dreams, dude. I'm just sayin'."

It turns out, Rob did have pizza before bed.

"You never heard that, man?," Garth asked in disbelief. "Pepperoni dreams, they're like the ones where the crosses stand up on the wall... they're the real scary ones!"

Let's just hope there are no pizza bites as appetizers in their home this holiday season!
