AutoNSider Review |2019 Lexus UX 250h F Sport

So let’s just say that you’re a reasonably well-adjusted 30+ and you no longer care what Hollywood’s A-Listers are driving.
You don’t really care if the rest of the world knows that you’re Green. It’s simply YOUR choice to leave a smaller footprint…and you don’t need a Tesla or a Prius to do it.
Well, you’re in luck, ‘cause you’ve got more and more choices hitting the showrooms every year. And this week’s test car…a new-to-the-scene Lexus UX 250h F Sport…is just one example of dozens of options that you now have to consider.
Lucky you.
Lexus’ UX 250 is their newest and smallest Crossover…around nine inches longer and a couple inches wider than Mazda’s little CX 3 for example.
Inside you’ll find five seatbelts and 17+ cubic feet of storage in the rear….and more.
More?
Yes.
Unlike early hybrids that took extreme pains to conserve electricity, Lexus’ little limo offers just about every amenity that you might expect. Heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, power rear lift gate, heated power mirrors…even door handle lights.
And then there’s the features that you simply expect with a Lexus…like intelligent high beams, premium sound, voice command, smart watch + Alexa integration, and more.
Our test UX 250h F Sport added a moonroof, rain-sensing wipers, AWD, and most of the plusses mentioned above.
As you’d imagine, Lexus is bringing us their UX in a variety of flavors. The conventional gas-engined 2.0 liter, 169 HP will start in the low $30’s, with the AWD hybrid only two thousand more. $2,000 for around 10 more MPG is a bargain in my book. The UX 250h is rated at 41 HWY and 38 City, which is exactly what we got in a week’s worth of varied driving.
All-in, with just about every luxury feature that you’d expect from Lexus, our little UX 250h listed in the low $40’s…and that’s a reasonable price for a nimble combination of high-mileage and luxury.
