CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Since COVID-19 precautions kicked in earlier this year and as some states slow their roll and step back utilizing some precautions again, this might be a good time for some company leaders to rethink their business models.

Terry Jones, founder of Travelocity and founding chairman of Kayak.com, said there’s no time than the present for some reevaluation.

“Telemedicine, for example, was prohibited before COVID and now, in a recent survey, 40 percent of the people who’ve tried it think it’s great and want to continue,” Jones said. “It’s time to look at the opportunities that are created by change — and also the problems — and say, ‘can I still do business the same way?’ I don’t think so.”

Jones, who wrote “Disruption Off: The Technological Disruption Coming For Your Company and What To Do About It,” said coronavirus or not, our constantly changing world is always disrupting what one business or another is doing.
