(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A COVID-19 outbreak has been traced to a Crystal Lake restaurant, the McHenry County Department of Health has announced, but the restaurant chain disputes that conclusion.
The restaurant is the Texas Roadhouse at 835 Cog Circle and has voluntary closed, temporarily, health officials said.
Anyone who worked at the restaurant or visited the establishment between July 19 and Aug. 4 — or anyone who has come into contact with these people — is encouraged to consult with a physician if they exhibit coronavirus symptoms.
Travis Doster, with Texas Roadhouse, disagrees there was an outbreak at the restaurant. He said the investigation stems from one patron’s claim they must have been infected at the business.
He said there were three positive cases among off-duty employees but no one who has a positive result has worked at the restaurant.
