CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Fans won't be allowed into Wrigley Field as the Cubs begin their season shortened by COVID-19 Friday night.

But the famous rooftops across the street will be open, and the Cubs say several steps have been taken to protect rooftop fans from the virus.

Faulkner says rooftop staff must wear masks at all times, while fans will have to wear them any time they are not in their seats.

He says masks will be provided to fans who don't bring their own.
