CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — One of the joys of a farmer’s market is walking from table to table and seeing what’s new and what’s fresh.
But COVID-19 has forced the farmer’s markets to go virtual.
And one of Chicago’s most popular markets, Green City Market, has an app that will let you order from various farmers. One person will then come to your house to deliver the goods.
Melissa Flynn, Green City’s executive director, says it’s almost like a CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, model.
Flynn says Green City is expanding delivery to Saturdays, beginning this weekend.
