CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health says there are 330 new cases of novel coronavirus across the state, and three new deaths.

The statewide tally increased to 1,865 cases of COVID-19 across 35 counties, the agency said Wednesday. The three additional deaths are a Kane County man in his 90s, a Cook County man in his 60s, and a Will County woman in her 50s, the state reported. That brings the fatality count to 19.

Douglas, Marshall, and Morgan counties are the newest Illinois counties to report cases.

Also Wednesday, Gov. JB Pritkzer announced that the state income tax filing deadline will be extended three months to July 15, which mirrors actions by the federal government.

Illinois is under a "stay at home" order through at least April 7, which has shut down much of the state economy.
