(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Demand for recreational vehicles is on the rise, as people find new ways to vacation during the pandemic.

“An RV is an ideal thing because you’ve got your own bed, you’ve got your own food, your own schedule, and you’re your own boss, as well,” Darryl Searer, president of the RV-MH Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, Indiana, told the Noon Business Hour on Monday.

“It’s a pretty phenomenal way to spend some time.”

Searer says not all RVs or mobile homes are high end. He said dealers have told him monthly payments can be as low as $100. Some models can be pulled with your regular vehicle.
