(WBEN)  The 180th Erie County Fair wraps up tonight with fireworks. The big event will be 2 demolition derby's and special deals and discounts. Here is the latest news release from the fair:


Day 12 (FINAL DAY) of the 180th Erie County Fair Highlights, Sunday, August 18th 


Hamburg, New York - Here is what you need to know for the Final Day of the 180th Erie County Fair:


Live in the GUSTO Grandstand


• World’s Largest Demolition Derby - 1:00pm & 6:00pm, Tickets: $22. This annual event welcomes more than 100 cars to the Fairgrounds to see who can outlast the rest. Cars must navigate the track and try to keep their damage to a minimum if they are to win the heat and make it into the finals. Prior to each heat, cars are judged by the crowd as to who has the wildest and wackiest decorations.


Deals and Discounts


• Student Special. Students ages 13-33 receive $7.00 admission, after 5pm with proper ID

• One Price Ride Day. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $40.00 on the Strates Midway.


Special Events


• Non-Denominational Worship Service – 10am, Family Entertainment Complex; conducted b Justin Jones from Eastern Hills Wesleyan.

• 4-H & FFA Dog Show. Thirteen exhibitors will be showcasing twenty-three dogs at 11:00am in the annual 4-H Dog Show. The Schedule has events such as grooming and handling, agility, fun obedience, and dog dressing. Five of the exhibitors will be continuing on to the New York State Fair following this show. The 4-H Dog Show will also feature a guide-puppy and its handler.

• Fair Camp Showmanship. As week two of Fair Camp concludes, campers will have the opportunity to exhibit an animal in their very own showmanship show. The campers have come from Blasdell, Orchard Park, Hamburg, and Boston. The Fair Camp Showmanship takes place at noon inside Barn 11.

• Skylighters Fireworks Finale presented by Channel 2 On Your Side. End the Fair with a bang! The show is scheduled to begin at 9:30pm and best viewing will be in the Grandstand, or trackside.

• Daily Flag Retreat Ceremony. During the ceremony the American flag, which was flown during that day at the Fair, will be lowered and presented to a veteran and/or active military member of the military who will be the “Flag Retreat Honoree of the Day.” Takes place at 6:30pm in Slade Park.

• Tops Friendly Markets Cooking School at the Fair: Culinary experts from Tops Markets will conduct cooking demonstration inside the Erie County Fair Cooks Building at 12:30p, 2:00p, 3:30p and 5p.
