Main Place Mall realtor seeking tenants for future plans

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The real estate group associated with Buffalo's Main Place Mall announced its $75 million plan to redevelop the downtown mall.

The plan is a complete repositioning of the mall according to Violet Realty. Three large floor plates will be converted into office space with retail and amenity areas. The realtor is is looking for popular corporate groups to take up the office space.

Outside of the building, the group wants to include a complete renovation including a new architectural ribbon spanning Main Street and Church Street. There will also be a food hall plus a roof garden and outdoor lounge.

Additional details will come out in the "coming months" according to Violet Realty.

The announcement comes a day after Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown announced that the mall is planning a transformation into an office building in order to attract tenants.
