BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Valentine's Day could mean some last-minute scrambling by those of you who have been putting off grabbing a gift for your spouse.
Frank Mischler of Mischler's Florist said ten of their trucks will be delivering flowers throughout the morning.
"We'll be cutting off deliveries to most areas by around 10:30 a.m.," Mischler said. "The Williamsville area, we'll be delivering those and taking orders all morning and all afternoon."
He reminds men that roses come in multiple colors beyond red and that women often times enjoy the other colors.
Beyond gifts, many restaurants will be packed on Friday night with couples. If you forgot to make your reservation and are left without a restaurant, pizza is an option. Gerard Cappelli, the owner of Cappelli's in Orchard Park, said their restaurant has made heart-shaped pizzas for the special day for years and are planning to incorporate heart-shaped pieces of pepperoni this year.
"It's (time consuming) but I think it's worth it," Cappelli said.
According to the National Retail Federation, consumers are expected to spend $27.4 billion today.
