No charges to be filed in death of UB student

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Law enforcement sources confirm for WBEN that no charges will be filed in the 2019 death of University of Buffalo student Sebastian Serafin-Bazan following a suspected fraternity hazing incident. 

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says the case is now closed.

Serafin-Bazan died after injuries stemming from an incident at the Sigma Pi fraternity house on Custer Street in Buffalo.

The incident led the University at Buffalo to issue changes to its fraternity policies.
