Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - "We probably sold a year's worth of hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and Lysol spray within the last two weeks," said Pharmacist Don Arthur, owner of Brighton-Eggert and Black Rock Pharmacies.

Arthur's repeated advice to customers, due to seasonal flu and Coronavirus awareness, is wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands.

With hand sanitizer in limited supply, some are wondering about rubbing alcohol.  "That will do the trick," he said. "But while isopropal alcohol is the main ingredient in hand sanitizer, the inactive ingredients are various moisturizers. If you're washing your hands with rubbing alcohol, they're going to be extremely dry."  He recommends frequent hand washing with soap and water.
