Lockport, NY (WBEN) Lockport School officials say a threat was found in a bathroom stall at Lockport High School Thursday. There will be an increased police presence Friday.

The district says in a statement, "The District treats all threats seriously and immediately referred this matter to local law enforcement authorities, who are currently investigating the matter. The District is fully cooperating with the investigation. At this point, we are not able to determine whether the message constitutes a credible threat. Nonetheless, the District is undertaking additional security measures with a canine sweep of the high school tonight, and tomorrow, Friday, December 13th, with increased police presence in the High School, as well as requiring students and visitors to submit to bag checks upon entering the High School."
