The AAA reports that local gas prices have declined two cents from last week's cost to $2.18 for a gallon of unleaded.  

Elderwood has filed with the state Health Department to reopen Elderwood Village at St. Gregory Court.  Business First reports the plan is to have it be a 70-bed memory-care facility with certification as an assisted-living residence/special-needs assisted-living residence.  The facility, formerly named Emeritus at Bassett Park Manor, was part of an acquisition by Elderwood last year.

The Genesee County Economic Development Center board of directors has voted to accept an application from Batavia Solar, LLC.  Batavia Solar is proposing to invest approximately $3.5 million to build a 1.65 Megawatt community solar farm in the town of Batavia.  A public hearing will be scheduled before a final vote is taken on project incentives.

The Discover Niagara Shuttle has returned.  The complimentary hop-on/hop-off service connects visitors and residents to over a dozen stops between the Falls and Old Fort Niagara.
