Gas prices locally jumped up two cents this past week.  The AAA reports the current average for a gallon of unleaded gas in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metro area is $2.21.

The CNB Financial Corporation acquisition of Bank of Akron becomes official today.  CNB and BankOnBuffalo officials will be at the former Bank of Akron headquarters at 46 Main Street at 11am.  They will hold a ribbon cutting and show off new signage.

Earthbound Trading Company, known for their assortment of eccentric and unique merchandise and clothing that celebrates adventure and travel, will open at the Walden Galleria.  The store will be open by the end of this summer on the upper level near Macy’s.

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and Oneida Health have announced the hiring of Maya Mathew, MD, as Medical Director of the Dorothy G. Griffin Radiation Oncology Center in Oneida.

Northwest Investment Services has named Andrew Hahn Vice President, Corporate Sales Manager for Retail Investments.

Literacy NY Buffalo-Niagara, Inc. has rebranded by shortening up its name to Literacy Buffalo Niagara.
