Amherst Alarm, Inc. has thermal camera systems available.  These temperature-detection surveillance cameras can serve as a preventative, actionable measure to help businesses amid this global pandemic.  The cameras can monitor multiple people entering a business’s doors at once, providing fast assessments without personal contact. These assessments can be completed on people that are using personal protective equipment, such as face accessories and headwear, while also rejecting false positives such as hot drinks.

Ferric Contrast Inc., a University at Buffalo spinoff, has received $750,000 from the National Science Foundation to develop iron-based contrast agents for use in MRIs.  These contrast agents are used in the body to help obtain better quality of images of organs, tumors and other biological structures.

Trinity Medical WNY has added Dr. Mohamed Metawee (Met-ow-wee) to its cardiology practice.
