Major hotel news rocking the city - the Hyatt Regency Buffalo is ceasing operations as of June 1st.  The hotel had temporarily suspended operations on April 1st.  At the same time, Channel 7 reporting that the Buffalo Grand Hotel will now convert two thirds of its hotel into residential apartment units.  Developer Harry Stinson saying limited market conditions he observed last year and the current pandemic playing roles in that decision.Stincon says the hotel part of the complex will re-open on July 1st.

In a review of claims data, Univera Healthcare estimates New Yorkers used telehealth benefits 290,000 times last year - and 2.6 million times in just the first four months of this year.  The health insurer attributes the spike in the use of telehealth to the COVID-19 pandemic.
