A WINDY warm up for WNY through the weekend

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - As temperatures moderate and inch closer to calendar expectations, some gusty winds will cross the Western New York region into Monday.  A Wind Advisory is posted for much of WNY through Sunday night with winds of 20 to 30 mph, gusting to 50 mph at times.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING......HIGH WIND WARNING IS CANCELLED...The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a WindAdvisory, which is in effect until 11 PM EDT this evening. TheHigh Wind Warning has been cancelled.* LOCATIONS...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, andChautauqua counties.* TIMING...Through late this evening.* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.* IMPACTS...Winds of this magnitude may bring down a few treelimbs and result in isolated power outages. Travel in highprofile vehicles will be difficult at times.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Strong wind gusts of up to 57 mph will make driving difficult andcould result in minor property damage. Home owners should securepersonal property.
