Perk up, it’s almost National Coffee Day! September 29th is the annual pseudo-holidayfor those of us who love our brew. I’ll take mine black and steamy hot, thank you. The more robust the better.

Not only does my favorite drink taste good and give us coffee lovers a boost, it also provides us with some documented health benefits. According to medicalnewstoday.com, potential health benefits associated with drinking coffee include protecting against Parkinson's disease, type 2 diabetes and liver disease, including liver cancer. Coffee also appears to improve cognitive function and decrease the risk of depression.

You can celebrate National Coffee Day 2019 with these cool coffee freebies:

Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop: Canadian Tim Hortons customers who have their Tims Rewards account registered on their Tim Hortons app and use the mobile app to make a purchase at a Tim Hortons restaurant, will be receive one free reward per day. The rewards can be redeemed for a free hot coffee, tea, or a baked good.

Dunkin’ Donuts: Dunkin' Donuts is celebrating National Coffee Day with a buy-one-get-one free hot coffee (of equal or lesser value).

Barnes & Noble: Customers get a free hot or iced tall coffee with the purchase of any bakery case item on the 29th.

7-11: Offering $1 coffee for loyalty members who use the app.

Cracker Barrel: Enjoy a limited-time Pumpkin Pie Latte for $3.69. Also, use the code COFFEE20 for 20% off when purchasing coffee online on September 29.

I’ll drink to that!
