BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul announced Harvest House Ministries as a recipient of $379,822 in state funds to expand workforce training in health and life sciences.

Harvest House Ministries, located on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo's East Side, will use the money to help train more people in the health care field.

The state funding was part of a $1.5 million award program throughout the state.

"This is our second workforce development awareness week," Hochul said. "We have had a competition for people to tell us their vision for ensuring that young people and people of all ages in our community have the skills to succeed."
