Frigid temps for ALL, lake effect snow in southern tier

AccuWeather

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Bitterly cold air has spread across all of Western New York and will remain in place through the early part of the weekend, but any accumulating snow will be confined to the extreme southern tier portion of the region.

CHECK: Complete Forecast

A cold air mass is overspreading the region and will mean daytime high temperatures only in the teens along with frigid overnight low temperatures.

While the bitter cold temperatures will be enough to deal with, lake effect snow will be a factor across the southern tier region and in Orleans County, where snow bands could accumulate and produce blowing snow and poor visibility at times into Friday.
