CMS Board Member Rhonda Cheek joined Bo Thompson Wednesday on WBT's Morning News, ahead of an emergency meeting for the board.
Cheek explained some of the board's new expectations, including handwashing stations. The goal isn't "to micromanage the staff and tell them how to run a handwashing station, we just need to know that handwashing stations are there."
Cheek discussed the feedback she's recieved from parents, noting that "shockingly it's pretty much divided amongst the choices we have."
Thompson closed the interview by asking Fall athletics, to which Cheek responded "I don't see sports happening in the next couple months... If we get the go ahead to say that it's safe to do something, then we will we do whatever we have the safety to do. Our athletic directors are ready."
