A Weather Channel reporter narrowly misses falling debris, knocked-down by a strong gust of wind as Hurricane Laura makes landfall.

Watch as Stephanie Abrams does a live shot from the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Lake Charles then ducks as debris comes crashing down near her.

Abrams reassured her viewers saying “we’re fine, everyone we’re fine… everyone’s ok.” After that the crew moved their live broadcast to a safer location inside a parking garage.

The National Hurricane Center says Hurricane Laura's top sustained winds were 150 miles per hour when it made landfall in Cameron Parish late last night.
