81-Year-Old Woman Struck By Reversing Car In Brooklyn Seriously Injured: Police

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- An 81-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a car backing up a street in Brooklyn on Monday.

The incident occurred on E 95th Street and Ditmas Avenue  in the East Flabush section at approximately 2:20 p.m., where according to workers at a nearby scrap yard, the victim was walking up the block to wish everybody a happy holidays.

The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition.

The driver stayed at the scene of the accident ot be questioned by police.

So far, no charges have been filed, officials say.

An investigation is ongoing.
