
NEWARK, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- Transportation Security Administration screeners found a dagger hidden inside a traveler's walking stick at Newark Airport on Tuesday.
TSA Public Affairs spokesperson Lisa Farbstein tweeted agents noticed "something unusual" with the stick when it went through an X-ray machine.
They inspected it and discovered the dagger concealed inside.
The owner said the walking stick was a gift and that she had no idea the it was hiding a weapon.
It's been a busy week at Newark Airport where on Monday, a young girl spotted a 15-inch snake on the floor of Terminal C. Port Authority police secured it and took it away.
