NEW YORK (WCBS 880) The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is reopening to the public Friday after being closed for months due to the pandemic.

"After six long months, I am thrilled to finally be able to say that the Intrepid Museum is open to the public," said Intrepid Museum President Susan Marenoff-Zausner. "As we move forward, the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, former crew members and visitors is our number one priority. The Museum has put into action a myriad of enhanced measures that go above and beyond the minimum requirements and we will continue to provide the same one-of-a kind experience the Intrepid Museum is renowned for."

Doors open at noon.

The museum's regular hours will be Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
