NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Two women are being sought by NYPD after police say shoplifting led to a brawl inside Barneys department store in Manhattan.

Video released Thursday by police shows the suspects inside the store on the Upper East Side.

Police say one suspect hid a hat inside of a bag and left the store without paying for it.

When confronted by two male employees about the theft, police say the suspect refused to return the item and a brawl ensued.

The second woman also fought with the employees, police say.

Both suspects punched, bit and scratched the employees, according to police.

The individuals fled on Madison Avenue, one northbound and the other southbound.

The incident happened on Nov. 18. Police urge anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
