NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — President Donald Trump is expected to come to New York City on Friday afternoon to visit his younger brother who is in the hospital.
Robert Trump, the president's 72-year-old brother, is said to be "very ill," CBS News correspondent Paula Reid tweeted.
White House spokesperson Judd Deere told the Associated Press that Robert Trump is at a hospital in Manhattan.
Further details about his condition were not immediately known.
A senior administration official tells Reid that the president "has a very good relationship with his brother and his brother is very special to him.” Robert Trump previously worked for his older brother as a top executive at the Trump Organization.
The president was already scheduled to arrive at his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey on Friday.

Robert Trump spent more than a week in the intensive care unit at Mount Sinai Hospital in June.
