NYPD: Robbery Suspect Stabs Sleeping Subway Rider With Screwdriver

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- The NYPD has released a video of a robbery suspect wanted for stabbing a sleeping subway rider with a screwdriver on a Brooklyn train.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. Thursday on a northbound 2 train at the Beverly Road Subway station.

Police said a 29-year-old man was asleep on the train when another man stabbed him in the head and arm with a screwdriver and then stole $300 in cash before running away,

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition.
