NYPD: Man arrested in attempted rape of 14-year-old girl at Brooklyn doctor's office

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police officers have arrested a man who allegedly tried to rape a 14-year-old girl at a Brooklyn’s doctor’s office this weekend.

Authorities say David Gonzalez, 31, was arrested early Wednesday in connection to the attack.

The incident, which was captured on surveillance video, occurred just before 1 p.m. on Nov. 22 inside of a Foster Avenue doctor’s office in Midwood.

According to police, the 14-year-old had ridden her scooter to the officer and arrived before her mother. She was waiting in the hallway for her mom to arrive when the 31-year-old suspect entered and exposed himself to her.

The 14-year-old attempted to flee the office and, police say, Gonzalez grabbed her, knocking her to the ground while covering her mouth.

According to police, the teen victim continued to resist and eventually the suspect fled the scene on a moped.

The victim was not physically injured, according to police.

The 31-year-old attacker has been charged with attempted rape, forcible touching and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old.
