RONKONKOMA (WCBS 880) — The LIRR suspended Ronkonkoma Branch service in both directions between Ronkonkoma and Hicksville after a person was struck by a train east of the Brentwood station on Tuesday morning.
EMS and MTA Police responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m.
Port Jefferson and Huntington trains made all local stops west of Hicksville to accommodate customers before service was restored with residual delays just after 8 a.m.
The condition of the person who was struck was not immediately known.
