Traveling during the holidays has its ups and downs, but finding a place to stay that keeps guests in the Christmas spirit tends to make the experience much more enjoyable.
Now, a hotel in Michigan has taken things a step further by turning one of their rooms into a Christmas wonderland inspired by the movie "Elf."
The Royal Park Hotel is treating everyday like its Christmas. They teamed up with Makers Mark to unveil their new "Buddy the Elf" room just in time for the holidays, according to FOX News.
Inspired by the 2003 Christmas film starring Will Ferrell, the 1,100-square-foot suite sleeps up to three, features a king bed, living room ,two bathrooms, and a kitchenette. It will be available for guests to rent between now and January 31, 2021.
It will also include two Christmas trees, colorful lights, paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling and a full-size cut-out of Ferrell dressed as Buddy the Elf. It will include amenities like slippers and bathrobes, along with “Buddy’s mailroom cocktail” made with hot cocoa or coffee and Maker’s Mark plus a selection of foods from “Buddy’s favorite food groups.”
Rates for the room start at $599 with 10% of proceeds benefiting the Big Bright Light Show in downtown Rochester, a local community event.
For any "Elf" fans, this room may be the perfect Christmas getaway.
Fans of the holidays can also enjoy the hotel's "gingerbread suite" with snowflakes, candy canes, and all things gingerbread. It also includes a growler of beer or cider for two. 10% of the proceeds from that suite to the Salvation Army of Metro Detroit.
