M Health Fairview Southdale on lockdown after shooting

UPDATE - 10:47PM: According to FOX 9's Paul Blume, the shooting victim was a doctor who was shot in the head. 

Law enforcement source confirms shooting victim is a doctor. And that he was shot in the head. Suspect search continues. Shooter described as Asian male in his 30s with shaved hair and a tattoo on the right side of his neck, wearing sweatpants. #BREAKING @FOX9

M Fairview Southdale is on lockdown as Edina Police are looking for a man who opened fire at in the hospital parking lot around 9pm Monday night.

The 911 call came in at 8:54pm on Monday night. The City of Edina tweeted that the shooting victim was able to give a description to the police. They are looking for an Asian male in his 30s with a shaved head, neck tattoo and wearing sweat pants.

Edina Police have shut roads down in the area as they search for the suspect. They are urging residents who live close to the hospital to stay in their homes. If you have any information on the shooter, you are asked to call Edina Police at 952-826-1600.
