Minnesota State Fair Food Parade tickets sellout Friday

19,000 vehicle tickets for the first-ever Minnesota State Fair Food Parade sold out in 2.5 hours on Friday.

Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. and immediately the Minnesota State Fair let potential buyers know the demand was high.

We are currently experiencing an extremely high volume of state fairs fans attempting to purchase Food Parade tickets. Tickets are being sold but the event is not sold out. Please keep trying.

At 12:45 p.m. on Friday, there were no more tickets to be found.

Sellers are already hitting the aftermarket with tickets priced as much as $150 each. Tickets sold for $20 per car for the parade, which is a multi-hour experience stretching 1.5-miles along a same-way route. 

Those trying to get tickets complained of website and buying issues during the 2.5 hour span. Reservation times were limited based on COVID-19 safety guidelines.
