Weather likely a factor for Patriots and Cowboys

By WEEI 93.7

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is always hesitant to acknowledge that weather will be a factor in a game until the day, and kickoff, arrive.

Well, as the hours wind down until Sunday evening’s big game between the Patriots and Cowboys at Gillette Stadium, it’s looking more and more like weather will indeed be a factor.

According to The Weather Channel, game-time temperatures in Foxborough will be in the mid-40s with a 90-plus-percent chance of rain along with winds around 16 MPH out of the NNW. TWC says that winds could gust to 25 MPH.

Tom Brady is one of the best bad-weather quarterbacks in NFL history, but the Cowboys are also potentially well-suited for the windy, rainy conditions thanks to strong offensive line and Ezekiel Elliott’s ability to pound things out on the ground.
