--  Tom Brady was the subject of the first episode of the E! show In the Room on Wednesday night and he hit all the usual topics of diet, TB12 and family in the interview.

Host Jason Kennedy spoke with Brady in the TB12 center in Boston and asked him all about his diet and workout routine.

"We say here at TB12, 'You can only work as hard as your ability to recover,'" Brady said. "In essence, the harder you work, sometimes the faster you get worse. I was one of those guys, I worked so hard. I wanted to be the best. But I realized I kept working hard at a lot of the wrong things."

Brady also talked about his marriage to TB12 “client” Gisele Bundchen and the importance of communication.

"We use a term in our house: CCC. Clear, current communication," Brady said. "Clear, like, ‘This is exactly how I'm feeling.' And current, not like, ‘This happened six months ago,'" he said. "And you communicate about it. I think that's helped us a lot."

Brady said his mom, Galynn, is not a fan of other players hitting her son on the football field and she joins in with Bundchen in wanting him to retire.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Jakobi’s a smart guy. It’s not a question of learning. Experience...and each week for a young player is a learning experience. You match up against different guys, see different coverages, different situations come up. But he works hard at it. Learning is not an issue for him.” -- Bill Belichick, on Jakobi Meyers
