Hello and Happy Tuesday! Who's ready to get after another summer day of live, relevant Boston sports action?

Celtics vs Heat - 630p, TNT

Red Sox @ Rays - 6:45 p.m., NESN

A Boston sports doubleheader on a rainy weeknight? Be still our sports deprived heart!

We just got over the happy melancholy of Brady's 43rd birthday. We're dealing with peak terrible Red Sox. We're worried football season could be in trouble thanks to "the invisible enemy". Can someone save us with some good news or happy images? Oh, wait...Monday was Pats Class Photo Day? And we get our first look at Cam in a Pats jersey? Sweet Edelman, we never needed it more.

'Tis glorious! He's so focused, serious...eschewing his usual mugging for the camera and wild outfits in favor of gameface and showcasing the depth of his intensity for 2020. Plus he looks a natural in the Pats color rush home jerseys. Love it!

OK, great start! Now, how about some of the other new guys in Foxboro this season?

Madden 2020 just released their mustache rankings. Patriots? 100. Great look for a fresh start.

A date that has been a sore spot and subject of controversy regionally of late, what with the league-leading number of opt-outs and players like Devin McCourty crying foul over the league moving the deadline, the deadline for NFL players to opt-out of the 2020 season and receive their stipend is this Thursday. Q: how many more by then?

Now official: Deadline for NFL players to opt out is Thursday at 4 pm EST, per source.

I can't believe I' gonna say this, but...gross! Sure, were this little bit of social media jockularity on our watch we'd be fine with it. Loving it. "Oh, look at how much fun Gronk and Brady have! It's like their throwmance in the Red Sox outfield never ended." But guess what? They're in Tampa now. And while we're thrilled our favorite QB ever is still playing, it's not for us. Plus Gronk has a villainous goatee now. So...yeah, gross.

We all imagine that Seattle is kinda going for it all this year, especially after the Jamal Adams trade. So how would we feel if the Hawks then went into the Patriots pool of talented but troubled receivers not once but possibly twice? We get it, Pete; you'd give anything to get back there after SB49. But holy Gronk, AB and Flash? They're great, but if this happens it could be phenomenal, Or a disaster. Most likely a phenomenal disaster.

Seahawks are monitoring the Antonio Brown situation and are open to a Josh Gordon return, according to Pete Carroll.https://t.co/LnMATTwrpZ

Also...has any NFL free agency move lead a well-known player to look more like the evil twin/bizarro version of themselves than Jason Witten in Las Vegas? And we thought Gronk with a goatee in Tampa was weird...

Congrats to the new ESPN MNF booth. We think this is going to be rock solid, and 100% less Booger than before.
