Anthony Davis is headed to Lakers (not Celtics)

By WEEI 93.7

The dream of the Celtics' reeling in Anthony Davis is reportedly dead.

According to's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pelicans have agreed to a trade that will send Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round picks -- including the No. 4 overall in this year's draft.

Multiple reports this week suggested the Celtics were very much in play for the services of Davis. The All-Star's agent Rich Paul went on the record with Sports Illustrated to say he "warned off" the Celtics from trading for Davis, who is eligible for free agency after the 2019-20 season.
