The Red Sox managed to surprise the experts.

In his first year running the Sox' Draft Chaim Bloom scooped up high school middle infielder Nick Yorke out of Archbishop Mitty High (CA).

The 6-foot, 190-pound Yorke is considered a hit-first infielder who is committed to the University of Arizona. He was ranked 96th overall by Baseball America in the publication's Top 500 players.
