Mookie Betts offered a pretty powerful reminder Thursday.

On what was perhaps the worst day of a terrible 2020 season for the Red Sox, the Dodgers' outfielder did what he had done five other times in a Boston uniform -- swat three home runs in a single game. Nobody in the history of baseball has managed that many games with that many home runs at such a young age ...

With a career total of 43.0 bWAR coming into tonight (1.2 this year), Mookie Betts has surpassed the 7-year peak (WAR7) of the average Hall of Fame right fielder (42.4). One of those seven seasons is 52 games, the other is 18 (so far).
