Plenty of baseball fans took notice when the Korean Baseball Organization began its regular season Tuesday, with the opening games being broadcast back to the United States on ESPN.

Other than the Chinese Professional Baseball League in Taiwan, the KBO represents the only pro baseball being played during a time of the year the sport is usually in full swing.

Count Mookie Betts as one of those who are relishing the opportunity to watch real, live baseball. (At least that's the impression the former Red Sox outfielder gave when posting a hype video for the KBO on his social media accounts.)

Welcome back, KBO. We’re all watching!KBO가 돌아왔다. 우리 모두 시청하겠습니다!Stay tuned for more to come!앞으로도 많은 관심을 부탁 드립니다!#KBO #Baseball #야구 #OpeningDay #개막전 #Hwaiting pic.twitter.com/HC4W0vEG2D
