Yankees reportedly making run at Manny Machado

The Yankees evidently aren't messing around.

After an offseason in which they traded for starting pitcher James Paxton, and signed both shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and relievers Adam Ottavino and Zach Britton, New York is reportedly one of the teams which continue to make a run at free agent Manny Machado.

According to MLB Network Radio analyst Jim Duquette, the Yankees have extended an offer to Machado worth in the vicinity of $220 million over seven or eight years. Duquette does point out that there have been numerous teams to offer similar dollar figures.

Duquette surmises the Yankees won't be the highest bidder.
