Bill Belichick raves about Randy Moss: Smartest receiver I've ever coached

By WEEI 93.7

On Friday, as part of the "NFL 100 All-Time Team" series on NFL Network, the wide receivers were named and one of them was Randy Moss.

Bill Belichick is part of the series along with Cris Collinsworth and Rich Eisen, and he spoke highly of Moss during the segment.

“One of the smartest players I’ve ever coached. Certainly the smartest receiver,” Belichick said. “He taught me more about receiving and the passing game than by far anybody else.”

Moss played four seasons with the Patriots and finished with 259 receptions for 3,904 yards and 50 touchdowns. His best year came in the historic 2007 season when he recorded 98 catches for 1,492 yards and a record 23 touchdowns.

The receiver finished his career with 156 receiving touchdowns and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this past summer.
