By WEEI 93.7

It will be the Celtics and 76ers facing off against each other in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Following play Wednesday, the Celtics are locked in as the No. 3 seed and the 76ers the No. 6 seed. The Celtics catch a little bit of a break as Philadelphia is not 100 percent. Ben Simmons had knee surgery in the past week and is out for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, Joel Embiid is dealing with an ankle injury, although he has returned to action.

The 76ers took three of the four meetings against the Celtics this season.

With the seeding already locked in, the Celtics will not have a number of players in the final tune-up before the playoffs Thursday against the Wizards.
