Checking in on Tom Brady in Tampa Bay: QB leading charge on practice field

Tom Brady has started the process of getting to know his new teammates on the field in Tampa Bay.

Brady and several other members of the offense worked together Tuesday at the facility and according to NFL Media's Mike Giardi, the 43-year-old was leading the charge.

“Twenty-three offensive players out there today and Brady was leading the charge," he said. "You’ll see in this video, already instructing guys on where to be and what he wants. Taking full command. As Bruce Arians told us last week, some of these guys are going to have to get over being awe struck about Brady in the huddle. He’s hoping they have the guts to go up and talk to him, break the ice and then get to this thing.

"But, Brady is one of those guys who will get out in front of that as well. He wants to be one of them, at least how he’s perceived in the locker room, but he also wants to be the leader and in charge of this offense.”

The quarterback turned 43 on Monday, which Tampa Bay noted on Twitter.

Brady has a number of weapons to work with, including Rob Gronkowski, Chris Godwin and Mike Evans.
