FOXBORO -- Patriots running back Jeremy Hill suffered what looked like a serious injury in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Texans, and that was confirmed Monday.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Hill suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. The injury occurred after Rob Gronkowski fumbled and Hill along with fullback James Develin were going to make a tackle and Develin dove into Hill's knee.
After being down for several minutes, Hill needed help walking off the field and was almost immediately ruled out of the game.
The Patriots will likely need to add another running back, especially if rookie Sony Michel is not ready for action. The only internal option is Ralph Webb, who is currently on the practice squad.
