The Patriots could be losing another member of their coaching staff to the Giants.
According to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, Joe Judge's staff remains somewhat of a mystery, but Bret Bielema is expected to be in the mix for his defensive coordinator. Bielema has been with the Patriots for the last two seasons -- 2018 as a special assistant and 2019 as the defensive line coach.
Bielema has head-coaching experience at the collegiate level, as he was the head coach at Wisconsin from 2006-12 and then at Arkansas from 2013-17.
Given Steve Belichick and Jerod Mayo ahead of him on the coaching depth chart, it could be argued Bielema wouldn't have much of a shot of advancing up the ladder in New England and thus the desire to go elsewhere.
