There's a new running back in town.
According to Rosenhaus Sports, the Patriots have agreed to a one-year deal with running back Lamar Miller, pending a physical. The 29-year-old missed all of last season due to a torn ACL.
Miller, who made the Pro Bowl in 2018, has been productive when healthy playing for the Dolphins and Texans. He ran for over 1,000 yards in 2014 and 2016. The running back also has the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, as he's had at least 25 catches in every year since his rookie season, including a career-high 47 in 2015.
The move comes following running back Brandon Bolden opting out of the season and Sony Michel being on PUP following offseason foot surgery.
This is a low risk deal for the Patriots and if Miller is healthy it could be a very solid addition.
